Built off Proof, Backed by Trust.
1. About VeriClear Ltd
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the VeriClear™ website and mobile app operated by VeriClear Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom.
VeriClear helps clients and tradespeople manage projects transparently — using timestamped and location-verified proof of work to confirm task completion before payments are released securely through Stripe.
By creating an account or using VeriClear, you agree to these Terms.
2. Who Can Use VeriClear
To use VeriClear you must:
Be at least 18 years old;
Have the authority to enter a contract; and
Provide accurate, up-to-date information when registering.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details.
3. Definitions
“Client” – a user who needs a job, project, or task to be done.
“Tradesperson” – a user who completes a job, project, or task.
“Proof” – timestamped, geotagged photos or videos uploaded within the VeriClear app.
“Milestone/Task” – a stage of work defined by the Client and confirmed via VeriClear’s proof process.
“Stripe” – the payment processor that securely handles transactions.
4. How VeriClear Works
1. The Client creates a project or job in the app.
2. The Tradesperson completes work and submits proof (photos/videos).
3. VeriClear validates the media metadata (time, date, and location).
4. Once verified, funds are either automatically released through Stripe or sent to the Client for final approval.
5. VeriClear records an audit trail for transparency.
VeriClear acts as a trusted intermediary — not as an employer, contractor, or financial institution.
5. Payments and Fees
All payments are processed securely through Stripe.
VeriClear may charge a small transaction or platform fee per verified milestone.
Any applicable fees will be clearly displayed before you confirm payment.
Payments are released only after verification or Client approval, depending on the project setup.
VeriClear does not store or process card details directly.
6. Responsibilities of Users
Clients must:
Provide accurate job details and payment information.
Review and approve completed milestones promptly.
Avoid uploading or requesting false or misleading information.
Tradespeople must:
Complete agreed work to the specified standard.
Submit genuine photographic or video proof taken within VeriClear’s secure capture interface.
Avoid uploading previously saved or altered media.
Both parties agree not to misuse VeriClear or attempt to bypass its verification process.
7. Verified Proof and Media
All media captured through VeriClear includes time, date, and GPS metadata.
Users are responsible for ensuring that submitted content is accurate and represents real work performed.
VeriClear reserves the right to suspend or remove accounts found to be misusing proof verification.
8. Dispute Resolution
If there’s a disagreement between a Client and a Tradesperson:
1. Both parties should first try to resolve the issue directly through VeriClear’s in-app messaging or by sharing additional proof.
2. VeriClear’s role is to provide a fair technical assessment of verified data — not to make legal judgments.
3. If a resolution still isn’t reached, the matter may be referred to a small claims court or arbitration under UK law.
4. Both parties will have access to the same non changeable conversation between the client and tradespeople person including all media sent and received between the the two parties.
VeriClear aims to help users resolve disputes fairly, based on verified, timestamped evidence.
9. Data and Privacy
Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at www.vericlear.co.uk/privacy.
By using VeriClear, you agree that we may process and store data (including geolocation) as necessary to provide our services.
10. Intellectual Property
All content, branding, and software on VeriClear are the property of VeriClear Ltd.
You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of the platform without permission.
11. Limitation of Liability
VeriClear provides tools to facilitate verification and payment but cannot guarantee the quality or outcome of work performed by tradespeople.
We are not responsible for:
The outcome of work performed by users;
Any losses caused by misuse of the platform; or
Delays in payments caused by third-party processors like Stripe.
To the extent permitted by law, VeriClear’s total liability shall not exceed the total fees paid by the user in the 12 months prior to a claim.
12. Termination
VeriClear may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms.
Users can close their accounts at any time by contacting contact@vericlear.co.uk.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the United Kingdom.
